Two Colorado Springs police officers were hurt during a scuffle with a shoplifting suspect Friday afternoon.
Police were called to the Sears department store on Southgate Road around 2:30 p.m., for a suspected shoplifter who had left before store security officers could detain him.
Police said Donald Alan Watts, 29, came back to the store while officers were there, and officers saw him stealing more items, police said. Watts fought back when officers tried to arrest him, and they fired Tasers at him twice, to no effect.
He was arrested when more officers arrived, police said.
Watts was booked into El Paso County jail on suspicion of assault on a police officer and warrants for robbery, shoplifting and contempt of court.
Two officers received minor injuries, police said.
