Security assaulted with truck www.privateofficer.com

A Crime Stopper tip led to the arrest of Michael Azzolina, 40, of 17179 Ursula Ave. He was wanted in a Dec. 12 battery case at a Wal-Mart in Murdock, Charlotte County.Azzolina is accused of grabbing a female shopper in the store and making obscene comments to her. After the battery, the subject followed the victim in the store for a short distance; she ran to the service desk of Wal-Mart to get help and the suspect fled the scene.The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office issued a news release on Thursday, Dec. 20 asking for the public’s help showing security camera photos of the suspect and his pickup truck.A Mid-County detective had been working on various leads but the break came when an anonymous person called Crime Stoppers after seeing the story and photos in a local newspaper, and identified Azzolina.Detectives arrested Azzolina Saturday afternoon, and after admitting to his involvement, he was charged with Battery and transported him to the Charlotte County Jail.
