Shoplifter, fraud suspect arrested www.privateofficer.com

Sonia Francis Viers, 35, of Bella Vista and an acquaintance, Timothy Ray Bornowski, 45, of Rogers were arrested in connection with forging checks, possessing fake identification cards and theft of property.Wal-Mart loss-prevention personnel notified police on Jan. 15 that Viers had purchased several items with a possibly forged check at 4208 Pleasant Crossing, according to the news release.

Bornowski was caught shoplifting, loss-prevention personnel said. Officers said they found several forged checks and fake driver's licenses on both Bornowski and Viers.Police searched Viers' vehicle and found more checks and driver's licenses, according to the news release.Viers and Bornowski were charged Jan. 15 with felony second-degree forgery and misdemeanor theft of property. They were transported to Benton County Jail and each released on a $20,000 bond.Viers was arrested again on Friday in connection with 21 felony counts of first-degree forgery and 12 counts of second-degree forgery.Viers was being held Friday in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
