It seems that Santa, the jolly old man himself was recently stopped by a hardworking, underpaid, overstuffed with donuts cop for speeding.
Now, cops, just like Santa, have their own naughty or nice list (aka, NCIC) and as all good cops do, this officer checked his list twice and low and behold Santa's name was there on the naughty list!
Not wanting to cause a stir just a few short weeks before Christmas, the officer called his supervisor to ask what he should do and could he cut Santa a break, kind of a good will jester, if you know what I mean. But his supervisor, a young, still wet behind the ears rookie sargeant said no way, no how, no can do. Don't give that old fat man any breaks! (his stocking must have frequently had coal in it)
So, Santa was frisked cuffed and stuffed and hauled away for driving without a license, speeding, failure to license his sleigh, unregistered reindeer, and failure to show up in court on his previous run ins with the men in blue!
Last time we checked, he was still a guest at the greybar motel unable to make bail since his wife doesn't drive and the elves are too small to reach the sleigh pedals.
So if this year you find nothing under the tree, you'll know that Santa is still being held hostage by the police!
