MIDDLETOWN, Ohio — Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Kohl’s Department Store last Friday. Authorities said Tracy Phillips, a loss prevention officer, saw two individuals — one male one female — attempt to conceal and walk out of the store with stolen clothing. When Phillips told the two to stop, the male immediately pulled a large knife from his jacket and stated, “Get back or I’ll stab you.
Investigators said the male, in his early 20s with brown hair and a biohazard tattoo on his neck, wearing a brown Carhartt jacket, tried to conceal the items under his coat. Another woman, with blonde hair in her early 20s wearing a black jacket, was with the man when the robbery occurred.
Police said Phillips called 911 after being threatened. Philips also said the two got into a vehicle with two other people and drove away.
The vehicle was described as an old beat-up early to mid 90’s possible Mercury Cougar or a Ford Thunderbird with Tennessee license plates.
Officers searched the surrounding areas, however, the vehicle was not found.
