Shoplifters lead police on chase www.privateofficer.com


CONCORD CA. Nov. 22 2007 – Two Rodeo men and a 16-year-old Oakland boy were arrested after police said they stole merchandise from Macy's in Sunvalley mall last weekend and then led officers on a short pursuit.Two of the suspects waited in a stolen Ford Taurus stopped outside the Macy's entrance about 11:30 a.m. Sunday while the third ran inside and grabbed $1,800 worth of jackets, jeans and shirts, Cpl. Kerry Cerletti said. He dropped the merchandise outside the getaway car because a security guard was approaching.Police chased the Taurus, reported stolen in San Mateo, onto Interstate 680 and then on city strees. The suspects were arrested on Buskirk Avnue after they ran a red light and stopped.Rodeo residents Cameron Finn and Jeremy Keith were booked into County Jail in Martinez on suspicion of burglary, auto theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. The Oakland youth arrested was released to his parents.
